Creating a New Career is a small group workshop designed for individuals who want a more satisfying and rewarding career. This workshop is also helpful to those who are unemployed or facing unemployment.
In this workshop participants create a vision of the career they now want to pursue. An interest inventory, group activities, readings from "What Color is Your Parachute?" and self-assessment exercises are used to explore and clarify interests, abilities, values, lifestyle, goals, and the world of work. The role of family, decision-making style, fears, and barriers are all addressed. The small workshop size allows for group interaction and individualized, personal attention. Participants focus on personal career decision-making and goal setting.
